Connections
- Modbus TCP, Modbus/TCP Security (TLS 1.2 or newer, mutual authentication, ALPN mbap-tls), Modbus RTU and Modbus ASCII.
- RS-485 echo removal and RTS toggle for serial lines.
Reading and writing
- Poll windows for functions 01 to 04, any number of windows on one connection, each with its own live chart.
- Write functions 05, 06, 15, 16, 22 and 23. Every write asks for confirmation before anything is sent.
- Values that do not fit the chosen format or the protocol limits are refused with a message instead of being cut off silently.
- Diagnostics for functions 07, 08 (all sub-functions), 11, 17 and 43/14.
- Replies from devices are checked: byte counts, write echoes and the Modbus/TCP header. A damaged reply is reported as an error instead of being read as data.
Working with values
- 12 display formats in 4 byte and word orders, per cell, per selection or per window.
- Cell names (also pasted from Excel), value labels, cell colors with two conditional rules, and fonts per address.
- Register addresses can be typed in decimal or hex.
Tools
- Request Runner with expectations (OK, EX, TIMEOUT, RESP) and JSON lists. Register Probe, which splits a failing block to find exact ranges and stops when the device stops answering.
- Logging to CSV or Excel (.xlsx), print preview, workspaces (.bsw) that are checked on opening and saved safely.
- Light, dark or system theme.
